Art is everything and everywhere around us, without art the world would
be boring; no color, balance, beauty, imagination or a world filled with
different shapes. I view art to be a sense of relaxation, a moment in
time to brainstorm new ideas, to get creative with my hands and a way to
express my emotions. Art is not just art; a simple picture or sticks on a
canvas, every artist has different means for their own art work. It is a dream,
value, religion or expressing an occurring event. It’s a foundation that can
recreate events, memories, and the importance of history and prediction of the
future. Without any type of art in the world, we would live our lives in the
colors of black, white and grey. Color shows brightness, joy, sadness, frustration,
success and failure. Art is an idea to create different pieces, using different
techniques and express different cultures. Through all these steps, art can
provide information of the past, traditions, style etc. and the idea of using
different forms, shapes and values with all sorts of tools. Art is not art
without the artist itself. It is always important to know your own true colors
and express them with a paint brush in one hand and the wonder of colors in the
other.
I want to follow the whole art experience throughout my college years and hopefully the rest of my life. Throughout my two year experience, I learned two main keys; patience and practice. I am extremely inspired by the people and surroundings around me, just like Barbara Kruger. Barbara Kruger is my inspiration, because she bases her artwork off of society, only in pictures and I enjoy taking her perspective and putting it in own artwork.
